Utility Program Services

AEC has nearly three decades of experience helping utilities meet customer demand, satisfy investor rate of return goals, and reach social and corporate responsibility goals with demand-side management (DSM) programs.

As a program manager, AEC coordinates the planning of program activities, identifies qualified subcontractors, places and manages subcontracts, provides financial and technical management and reporting, and coordinates technology transfer efforts. We also work in partnership with other firms who have established working relationships with utilities and require AEC’s expertise in data gathering and analysis, and provide educational and training programs to industry professionals and utility customers.

Program Impact Evaluation
Post-implementation evaluation of DSM programs helps utilities measure the effectiveness of their programs and uncover opportunities for improvement. An independent, 3rd-party review is often required by state PUCs and provides ratepayers and stakeholders with assurance that their investments are being used wisely.
